Corporate Partnerships Manager

We currently have a vacancy for a Corporate Partnerships Manager at our International Headquarters "IH" based in Woking, Surrey. The role is available from September and will be for a fixed-term contract of 10 months, to cover for maternity leave. 

Job Summary: The key objective for this position is to strengthen Plan's marketing effectiveness, with specific emphasis on the forging of relationships between global corporate partners, IH, National Offices "NOs", Country Offices "COs" and Regional Offices "ROs". 
 

What does the job holder plan

  • Provide technical and strategic advice in the implementation of corporate partnerships within ROs, COs, NOs and IH
  • Provide hands-on practical technical support ROs, COs and NOs wishing to pilot corporate partnership initiatives
  • Ensure Plan's marketing and communications experts, together with appropriate senior management representatives, are kept informed of progress with all global corporate partnerships
  • Administrate the IH Corporate Partnerships budget
     
     

What are the outputs and deliverables?

  •  Develop strategic alliances with the business community to maximise opportunities for development and growth, maximise inward investment opportunities and lever additional funding
  • Initiate and manage new global corporate partnerships in collaboration with corporate fundraisers in NOs, ROs and ROs
  • Devise and implement retention strategies for global corporate partnerships in collaboration with corporate fundraisers in NOs, ROs and ROs
  • Assess the effectiveness of corporate partnership activities against specified key performance indicators
  • Ensure appropriate supplier contracts are produced in a timely manner
  • Work with the Best Practices Facilitator to assess the effectiveness of business development networks against specified key performance indicators  

What does the post holder oversee?

  • Conduct evaluations and due diligence checks on potential global corporate partners to assess opportunities and risks
  • Ensure best practices in corporate fundraising are disseminated widely using a variety of communications channels (including the Intranet) 
     

Which teams/posts report into the post holder?

  • This post reports to the Marketing and Business Development Manager
  • This post manages the Best Practices Facilitator

  • The number of global corporate partnerships increases
  • Plan is perceived as a respected and experienced NGO partner by existing corporate partners
  • It can be demonstrated that corporate partnerships are improving the quality of our program work
     

What are the primary linkages for this post?

  • Co-ordinate the activities the Corporate Partnerships Network
  • Collaborate with the External Relations Team to enhance external communications activities
  • Establish consensus with the Global Marketing Strategy Group and the Corporate Partnerships Network to promote global corporate partnerships in unison
  • Work closely with the Grants and Resource Mobilisation Manager

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree level or equivalent experience
  • A qualification in Marketing/fundraising an advantage
  • Minimum of 5 years experience working in a corporate partnerships position
  • Minimum Minimum 3 years management experience including working with senior managers
