Global Campaign Coordinator

We currently have a vacancy for a Global Campaign Coordinator at our International Headquarters "IH" based in Woking, Surrey.


Job Summary: The key objective for this position is to assist in the development and management of Plan’s global advocacy campaigns by providing effective and efficient support for events, admin and general project management.

What does the job holder plan

  • Support to Plan’s global advocacy campaigns
  • Manages projects such as producing reports and events in liaison with relevant colleagues and freelance providers

What are the outputs and deliverables?

  • To monitor information from Plan offices, UN agencies, thinks tanks and other organisations and update the Team with information relevant to Plan’s global campaigns
  • To assist in risk management processes for Team activities
  • To organise and administrate teleconferences and videoconferences for the Team
  • To maintain the Team’s content on the Intranet
  • To maintain Team files and contacts in hard copy and on shared drives
  • To organise and administrate local, national or global events as needed
  • Draft and produce the Team’s newsletter, Re:Action, reports, articles and other written material
  • Make presentations to internal and external audiences as required
  • Undertake travel to meetings with external partner’s allies, to conferences and other events as necessary
  • To carry out any other task required to support the delivery of successful advocacy campaigns and the Team’s work, such as making travel arrangements for the Team

 
What does the post holder oversee?

  • Logistical and admin arrangements for the Team and its associated activities
  • Production of the global campaigns newsletter
  • Global monitoring of information
  • External and internal contact list updates
  • Team budgets and reports from Finance Department
  • Specific projects to manage as advised by line manager

Which teams/posts report into the post holder?

  • This post reports to the Global Advocacy Manager

Criteria for success

  • Effective support to Plan’s global advocacy campaigns and the Team
  • Efficient use of resources, ensuring value for money when making travel and meeting arrangements
  • Comprehensive and accessible documenting and reporting of the Team’s work
  • Building internal relationships both within Plan and externally
  • Successfully completed reports and events that enhance the reputation of Plan and its work

What are the primary linkeages for this post?

  • Colleagues in the Team, all IH departments, external service providers
  • Staff dealing with campaigns and advocacy across the organisation, including National Offices, Regional Offices and Country Offices
  • External organisations as appropriate

Qualifications and Experience

  • Ideally 3-4 years experience working in campaigning is essential
  • Experience of working in public relations or events is essential
  • Experience in working in a multi-lingual/multi-cultural environment is essential
  • Experience in writing copy and project management is essential
  • Experience of international development is desirable
  • Second language egg French desirable
