Participation: getting children involved in things that matter

  • young people ask questions
  • they provide insights into youth culture, and often know what is best for them when asked
  • participation involves learning about responsibilities and rights, and developing respect, communication skills and confidence
  • young people have a right to be heard
  • they have energy and want to be involved

Providing opportunities for young people to access information and articulate their views in their own way is integral to our work.
