Integral Attention to Infants Affected by Forced Displacement
We contribute to the reestablishment of rights of the infants under displacement conditions, from a psycho-social and differential attention approach.
Lines of intervention
Promotion of a healthy life We contribute to preserve the children’s health and nutrition, to prevent illnesses and diseases and their complications, through the promotion of practices for care and self-care
Dignifying education We are trying to have an effect on teaching institutions, so that they can respond to the requirements of displaced children in an appropriate way
Environment improvement We reduce the risks related to an environment that favours transmission and spreading of diseases in the faecal-oral contamination cycle, through water interventions, sanitation and hygiene in community and family environments
Food security We contribute to make possible for families to have better food accessing conditions
Opportunities for family maintenance We aim at families having better or improved economic security conditions, to take good care and look after the infants’ needs
Building communities We contribute to see that communities affected by displacement are organised and strengthen their environments, in order that they can guarantee rights to children and their families
Institutional strengthening We see the psycho-social impact and human rights damage of displaced infancy, and try to strengthen social, political and institutional environments to promote and guarantee the rights to this population
Sensitiveness and visibility We are generating and spreading information on the injuring of rights and the psycho-social impact of forced displacement on children, who are looking for common cause from the civil society
Institutional presence We generate spaces to influence public policies. We create policies and design programmes to promote guarantees of the children’s rights
