Early Infancy
We contribute to infants living under honourable conditions and protecting environments during their first years, with families, communities, and institutions that have developed skills and abilities to guarantee their rights.
Lines of Intervention of this Programme
Strengthening of protection factors We contribute to health preservation and child nutrition during their early years, preventing diseases, illnesses and their complications, through the promotion of practices for their care amongst families and community support networks.
Strengthening of skills and abilities for upbringing and stimulating development of boys and girls We promote social-cultural and teaching practices that facilitate and strengthen integral development of boys and girls.
Improvement of environmental surroundings We strengthen protection factors for health, nutrition and reduction of risks related to environmental surroundings that favour transmission and spreading out of prevailing child diseases, promoting participative interventions to improve family and community surroundings.
Community development We promote strengthening of community and organisation skills that favour exercise and demand of small boys’ and girls’ rights.
Institutional development We carry out alliances with other partners and strengthen local government and institutions skills, to help them in their role as child rights’ warrantors during the early years.
Institutional and community learning We strengthen communities’, institutions’ and Plan’s skills through collective building of new knowledge of issues learned through practise.
Risk, emergency and disaster management We generate local skills in Plan’s staff for risk management (emergencies and disasters).
