Childmedia values ‘Community Culture’

Childmedia gets children and community members participate in different areas of their culture and share objectives, issues and ideas. The recognition of important and 'authentic' values within their communities, including carnival, music, art crafts, theater and dances, constitute the cultural heritage of their community. 

 

Young people from the community of El Peñon, were involved in the celebration of the Casa de la Cultura anniversary, supporting the promotion of the community culture and the strengthening of its identity. The young people performed a local folkloric dance and were integrated in the parade as one of the local “comparsas”.
