Learning

Helping children, youth and adults learn and develop life skills

After the earthquakes, an estimated 150,000 students dropped out of school in El Salvador because of destroyed and damaged schools and the displacement of entire communities, mostly in rural areas. A year later, this situation has not changed substantially and is affecting the lives of children and adolescents.

Last year, we teamed up with communities to build two primary schools and four pre-schools. In addition, 21,200 sets of school supplies were distributed to primary school students and a further 10,060 sets helped ensure that secondary school students also continued their education.
