A high level agreement in Plan Nicaragua

After many years working at the local level, Plan Nicaragua is taking new steps in order to guarantee children the rights to enjoy the highest standard of health, nutrition and well being.

All of this will be done following the signing of an agreement between the vice minister of agriculture and forestry, Benjamin Dickson (MAGFOR) and country director of Plan Nicaragua, Mariella Greco. The agreement aims to set out initiatives to improve work in food security and nutrition at the municipal level.

The three year agreement with national coverage is oriented to improve the strengthening of institutional capacities, prioritizing those areas with the most vulnerable population, small producers, ethnic communities, indigenous population and the Caribbean coast.

In usual order Pia Stavås Meier - Mariella Greco and Benjamin Dixon

Both institutions are looking to guarantee the rights of families to an improved diet.

Witnessing this agreement was: Pia Stavås Meier - Plan Regional director for the Americas and Bayardo Serrano – Director of the Nicaraguan Institute Applied Technologies (INTA).
