Learning

Helping children, youth and adults learn and develop life skills

Many families find it difficult to afford uniforms and supplies for their children, who are thus forced to drop out of school.

Last year, with Plan’s assistance, more than 18,000 students in grades one to three received school uniforms. The objective is to provide basic materials in order to reduce the school dropout rate.  Other work in this area included:

  • Two new primary schools were also built
  • More than 2,500 teachers received training
  • School furniture and equipment was made available to 59 schools
