Ensuring children’s survival, protection and healthy development
In many areas where Plan works, there is a general lack of knowledge about health issues among children and their families. To address this, we worked with 1,300 children, training them in health issues and personal development. At the end of the training, the children had gained a basic understanding of health issues and were encouraged to pass this knowledge along to other children, as well as to their own families.
In all, more than 7,800 children benefited last year and, as the lessons learned continue to get passed along, this number will continue to rise.
