Learning

Helping children, youth and adults learning and develop life skills

There are 372 primary schools within the area where Plan works, all of which are involved in the Child Friendly Schools programme. This approach ensures that all activities related to the school environment, quality of education and child rights reflect the importance of children’s participation in their own development and bring about improvements in education.

This past year, to ensure a comfortable and safe learning environment for schoolchildren, Plan supported communities to build and repair 96 school classrooms, 91 school bathrooms and two water tanks. The communities actively participated in all these projects, both by administering them and by contributing labour and local building materials.
