Radio Nederland Training Center - Latin America

 Girls, boys and adolescents that participate in the diverse initiatives and projects of Plan in the Americas have found in Radio Nederland Training Center-Latin America -RNTC-LA - a key partner. They have developed their abilities in the promotion and defence of their rights throughout the media use. 
 
More than 2.000 boys, girls and adolescents from Central America and the Caribbean have expressed their opinions and interests about situations that affect their well-being and their own communities. Among the topics approached in the radio programs, videos and publications are: Child labour and abuse, the domestic and social violence, birth registration and teenage pregnancy.  
 
Through the participation of the girls, boys and adolescents in Childmedia, Plan and RNTC-LA have exchanged knowledge and experiences in education and communication to promote solutions to the problems expressed by the children.

With their work, children have sensitized their communities in order to prevent abuse, creating mechanisms of participation and opportunities to develop values, attitudes, expression and communication abilities. At the same time they have critical analysis, research, negotiation and conflict resolution.
