Our work in India

Below you can read about what we've been doing in the past year in four key areas, and read about sample projects and how they have affected real people's lives. Simply click on a title to read more.

These and dozens of other projects in India were carried out thanks to the generosity and commitment of sponsors across the world.

A few more examples of last year’s achievements:

  • More than 260 farmers began poultry projects and learned animal husbandry skills. This has enabled many families to increase their income and better provide for their children
  • Families started 990 small businesses with support and advice from Plan
  • Nearly 1,400 young people participated in vocational training courses to help them get a good start in life
