Helping children, youth and adults learn and develop life skills

In many parts of Indonesia, children drop out of primary school because their parents can’t afford to pay school fees or buy textbooks. In one part of the country, Selayar, Plan worked with communities to start an education savings scheme for sponsored children. Its aim is to encourage elementary and secondary students to save money in the bank for their future education.  As Wisba, one the 750 children participating in the project, said:

“I am feeling very happy because I’m saving now for my future.”

Collaboration makes pre-school a reality
One way to support 'Early childhood care and development' is via pre-schools, that help stimulate young minds intellectually, creatively and socially
