Growing up healthy

Ensuring children’s survival, protection and healthy development

More than half of the 130 million people living in Pakistan do not have access to even basic health care services, including vaccinations for children.

In an effort to make basic services more accessible, Plan, in co-operation with local partners, is training community health workers to provide much needed services, including ante-natal care and first aid. In total, 43 female community health workers from communities where we work have received health care training that also included a month of practical training at a district hospital.
