Learning

Helping children, youth and adults learn and develop life skills

Despite the fact that both the public and private sectors provide education services, the literacy rate in Pakistan is still relatively low at 49 per cent. It is even lower in rural communities.

Working with local partners, we have undertaken several projects, including:

  • Opening six early childhood care and development centres
  • Providing training to 150 teachers from 68 schools
  • Providing library books and other essential educational resources
  • Establishing 20 adult literacy centres in two districts
