Helping children, youth and adults learn and develop life skills

The dream of many parents, particularly in remote rural communities in the Philippines, is for their children to complete at least their basic education.

This past year, Plan worked with the communities to build new schools to replace the current dilapidated buildings.  The result has been a definite improvement in educational conditions for the children of these communities.  As Jeralyn, a grade four student said:

“The new classrooms have good ventilation, there are many visual aids displayed by the teachers, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and there is a lavatory for the classroom.”
