Country Strategic Plan 2005-2010

Plan in Vietnam’s Country Strategic Plan (CSP) for 2005 – 2010 is dedicated to supporting the poor, marginalised and ethnic children of Vietnam. Aligned with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, the CSP builds on the experience and achievements of Plan in Vietnam and its partners over more than 10 years.

It incorporates data analysis and widespread consultation at all levels, including Plan staff, government partners from national to commune level, donor organisations, mass organisations, international non-government organisations, local non-government organisations, community representatives and, most importantly, the children of Vietnam.

The ultimate aim of this participatory process was to develop a shared vision and common ownership of a strategic plan which empowers the communities, families and particularly the children of Vietnam.

At Plan in Vietnam, children are placed at the centre of all our activities.  Our continued Child- Centered Community Development approach, reflected in the CSP, ensures that children, families and communities in Vietnam are active partners in their own development.
