Hundreds of community volunteers make Plan
The success of Plan’s work in Vietnam is due to the dedication and support of Plan’s partners and hundreds of special community volunteers. Selected by the community through village meetings, the volunteers play an important part in the cooperation program between the community and Plan. Their participation in Plan’s programs, especially building relationships, makes the programs sustainable and effective.
“It has been almost 10 years since Plan in Vietnam came to my village, and I remember vividly the first time Plan staff came to introduce themselves and explain about their work. Plan in Vietnam was something so strange to me. However, through their training courses and my own determination, I am aware of the importance and responsibilities of my role as a community volunteer.”
“Together we have been working towards sustainable development, farmers now have a good mastery of agricultural techniques to produce abundant crops, children receive much more care and have opportunities to study in well equipped schools and poor families are able to meet their basic needs.
