The children’s helpline will provide a wide range of children with the chance to contact someone when they feel in need of special protection or a counselling service. It will ensure that children’s concerns are confidential and that support is provided in a timely manner. Through the helpline children of all ages will be able to learn about preventing HIV/AIDS, sexual abuse and labour exploitations. They will also be able to get advice on behaviours towards teachers, friends, their obligations and rights as children.

This is a special project as it was not created by adults for children, but by children and adults working together. Children have been and will continue to actively participate in the planning, implementation, monitoring, review and evaluation of the project. For it is imperative that children’s needs and voices are heard and reflected through the helpline.
