Uganda

Uganda is a landlocked country that stretches along the equator in the heart of the African continent. The mountains of Uganda contain the main source of the river Nile.

Approximately 80% of the working population is employed in the agricultural sector of the economy, both for subsistence and for cash income. Major crops include coffee, cotton, tea, tobacco and cocoa. Food crops include bananas, cereals, beans and peanuts.

Plan's focus is on improving the lives of more children, their families and the communities mostly in the rural areas of Uganda.
