Growing up healthy

Ensuring children’s survival, protection and healthy development

Cholera and malaria are among the leading causes of childhood death in Zambia. In some areas, such as Mazabuka, the incidence of malaria is 20 per cent.

Last year, we supported community projects to prevent and treat cholera, malaria and other diseases. One hundred health workers were trained and, in addition, a health clinic was built that will benefit 900 families.
