Learning

Helping children, youth and adults learn and develop life skills

“As father of the family and president of the students/parents association, I thank Plan for enabling our children to dream for a better future, because an investment in education is for the future.”

The words of Mr Sibiry Coulibaly illustrate what Plan is doing through its education programs in Mali: increasing the capacity and potential of children. This past year, Plan, through support of communities and local partners, helped to improve education in Mali by:

  • Providing more than 75,000 children with school supplies
  • Building 33 new classrooms in 11 schools
  • Improving access to education for girls through community awareness
  • Training 374 primary school teachers
