Tundu Joor meets AURA

Plan is financing the Tundu Dior Regional Tour that is taking place in partnership with artists from the AURA network. Tundu Dior is a campaign advocating for child rights and denouncing child abuses. In some places children are forced to work, to beg, or even to prostitute theirselves otherwise they are beaten. 

On Friday April the 27, the city of Diourbel hosted the Tundu Dior national tour. The concert was held by artists from the AURA network (created with Plan's support). The event raised the issue of child abuse and Talibes (children who are forced to beg in the streets). Over 20 000 people attended the concert. Games articulated around Child Rights were organised during which many children received prizes.

Thematic shows were held at the same time in local radio stations with Plan's experts and other NGOs contributing to explain the purpose of the Tundu Dior concerts.
